Chris Charles: Practicing Terror
While Michael Bloomberg and President Obama
argue there should be a Mosque built on sacred ground in Lower Manhattan, some of our Muslim friends are busy plotting more
terror attacks against us. Two Yemenis nationals were arrested on a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Amsterdam suspected
of plotting a terrorist attack. Who would have thought that Islamic terrorists would think to hijack or blow up an airplane?
Luckily for the people
onboard they carried with them no REAL explosives, they only had mock bombs made of Pepto-Bismol bottles and cell phones taped
together. They also managed to slip by the ace security with box cutters and large knives. You can’t get on a flight
with tooth paste but Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al Soofi and Hezem al Murisi have no problem getting on a flight with a small Arsenal
of stabbing weapons?
I’m sorry but if you’re from Yemen and your name is Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al Soofi,
you should get a more thorough security screening than Betty Johnson from Boca Raton, Florida.
It was a good thing this was only a dry run, if it wasn’t
there would be a smoldering pile of twisted steel somewhere. These guys were testing our security and clearly our security
has once again failed. Yes the men were found and arrested but not before their flight landed in Amsterdam! Which would have
been too late had their bombs not been made out of Diarrhea Medicine!
This was a warning shot across our bow, the next time you can bet the bombs will
be real but some in the government are not so sure. According to the Associated Press and un-named US ‘official’
is saying that it is unlikely that the two suspects were plotting terror. Unlikely? What is unlikely is our survival with
people like this in charge. If they were not rehearsing Jihad, what were the faux bombs for then? A practical joke? After
all, what’s funnier than a couple Middle Eastern men with bombs on an airplane?
But the story doesn’t end there. Because the items the men
were carrying were not on the list of FAA banned items, neither the authorities in Holland nor the authorities here in the
States are planning to charge these guys with a crime. How is a mock bomb NOT on the FAA banned list? Try and bring a pair
of nail clippers on a flight and you might end up in a TSA screening room for hours, yet mock bombs and ‘large knives’
are perfectly okay?
Moreover
the two Yemenis are being released from custody and allowed to go back to plotting terror (allegedly). What are the so-called
‘authorities’ waiting for? Does there have to be fiery hole in the ground for the terrorists to be terrorists?
The would-be Jihadists
carried with them a cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle, three cell phones taped together, several watches taped together,
a box cutter, three large knives, and $7,000 in cash and yet investigators say there is no evidence tying the two to a terror
plot. Not exactly Sherlock Holmes, these people. If we lived in a sane and rational world these two wouldn’t be arrested,
they would simply disappear into the bowls of an undisclosed, unmarked building somewhere. Taken by some covert, special ops,
black helicopter group and ‘interrogated’ until they divulged their true intentions.

Chris Charles: Hostess In A
Head Scarf
In most workplaces across America, employers
set a dress code for their employees to follow. If you work in an office most of the time you are required to wear formal
business attire. If you work at a hospital, then scrubs are usually mandatory. At Disneyland workers are required to wear
a ‘costume’, this no secret to the people that Disney hires to work at their theme parks. When Imane Boudlal applied
for and was hired as a hostess at the Grand Californian Hotel, she knew what the dress code was and she accepted the position.
Now Boudlal is insisting that Disney allow her to wear an Islamic head scarf to work because her Muslim faith requires it.
Where were her religious
sensibilities when she accepted the job? She has worked at Disneyland for two years without wearing a head scarf, why does
she all of a sudden NEED to wear it? Boudlal is free to wear whatever she pleases but as her employer Disney is also free
to tell her ‘you’re fired’ if she refuses to wear the proper uniform.
Disney refers to their associates as ‘cast members’
and their uniforms as ‘costumes’, they obviously take their dress code seriously. Do you think Snow White gets
to wear whatever she wants to work? Disney wants their employees to have the ‘Disney look’, not the ‘Saudi
Arabian’ look. What’s next, is Sleeping Beauty going to walk around Disneyland in a full Burka?
Of course Boudlal is now lodging complaints
with her employee union as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and anyone else who will listen. Disney is
clearly well within their rights to fire Boudlal and be done with it but they continue to look for a compromise with the disgruntled
hostess. But Imane Boudlal is having none of it. Disney offered to let her work ‘behind the scenes’, she refused.
They offered different costumes that would allow her to wear her head scarf, and again Boudlal refused. This would be like
applying for and accepting a job at Hooters and then refusing to wear the skimpy uniforms.
It seems to me that Boudlal is looking for a fight but it has
nothing to do with her religion. She is an agitator looking to stir up trouble so that she can get a big payday from Disney.
No doubt this woman already has a slip and fall lawyer waiting in the wings ready to take her case to court.
In this country we are free to practice any
religion but that doesn’t mean we can wear whatever we want to work! Can a Hasidic Jew wear traditional clothing to
work at Taco Bell? Boudlal’s refusal to wear the Disney costume would be like an Amish guy taking a job as a taxi driver
and then refusing to drive the cab because it is against his religion. I would suggest that Ms Boudlal move to the Middle
East and get a job, they certainly won’t have any problem with her head scarf over there but then again in many Muslim
counties woman are not allowed to work at all. So perhaps Boudlal should be a little more thankful that she lives in the most
accepting and tolerant nation on Earth.

Chris Charles: Underworked &
Overpaid
If you are wondering why our government is
under so much debt, look no further than the people that work in the government. Politicians are spending our money like it
grows on trees. And what are they spending it on? They spend it on themselves and their fellow civil servants working in government.
We all know that most of the time the ‘best and the brightest’ do not work for the federal government but federal
employees are sure paid like they are. The average government worker earns $123,000 a year in compensation, which is twice
what their private sector counterparts are making! This gives new meaning to the term ‘government welfare program’.
This is what we pay all those taxes for? To pay federal bureaucrats double what they deserve? Come on!
Is it really too much for the taxpayer to
ask that the Federal government hire competent people to work in government without getting their pants pulled down over the
price? Federal workers are not exactly known for their hard work and ingenuity, so why are we paying them like they’re
irreplaceable? Well trained monkeys could probably do the jobs of most government bureaucrats. New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez
and his $26 million a year contract think these people are overpaid.
Making the situation worse, once hired, a government worker can
effectively never be fired. It nearly takes an act of God to fire or layoff a federal employee. Just look at the $26 billion
‘emergency’ spending bill recently passed. Congress cut short their vacations to insure that no federal employee
union members lost their jobs.
Why aren’t we all government bureaucrats? In addition to great salaries and even greater job security, there are
wonderful perks afforded to government workers. While we tax payers have to wait until 65 to retire on the pennies the government
saves for us with Social Security, federal employees have pensions that pay them most, if not all, of their original (outrageous)
salaries after they retire. The private sector employee has to work tooth and nail, usually into his seventies in order to
save enough money to retire comfortably. If you try to retire at 65 on Social Security alone you’ll be eating Alpo before
long. Meantime the average government worker probably retires around 38 and can afford to live in the Hamptons and eat out
at fancy restaurants every night for the rest of his life.
Then there are the holidays, hardly a week goes by without one federal holiday or
another. While the private sector works through most of them the public sector shuts down to observe each and every one. How
many non-government workers do you think get Columbus Day off every year? I’m amazed federal employees don’t get
Groundhog Day off. Yeah, it’s great to be an employee of the federal government, not so great if you are a taxpayer.

Chris Charles: Outrageous Outreach
Here
we go again with the ‘outreach’ to the Muslim world by the Obama Administration. What is their obsession with
this? Seemingly every day the White House feels it necessary to reiterate how wonderful the people of the Muslim faith are.
Okay we get it! If the President is not reminding us narrow-minded Americans how great the people of Islam are, he is busy
telling them how great they are directly. This is especially true when a member of the religion of peace does something less
than peaceful.
Every
time an Islamic radical goes Islamic radical and blows something up, the White House can’t point out quickly enough
that radical Muslims are a minority and Islam is really a peaceful religion. Why don’t they let the Muslims tell us
that themselves? Instead of being justifiably outraged when terrorists murder innocent people, the White House is on bended
knee to assure the Muslim world that we still respect Islam. Shouldn’t the Muslim world be reaching out to us? After
all they are the ones blowing themselves up and killing innocent people.
While President Obama continues his campaign to reach out to Muslims,
Muslims are doing some reaching out of their own. They plan to build a 13 storey $100 million Mosque and ‘Islamic center’
at ground zero in New York City. What better way to develop trust with the American infidel than to build a mega Mosque in
the exact spot where 19 crazed Islamic radicals ended the lives of 3,000 innocent people? How can a religion that is so hypersensitive
to even the slightest insult be so insensitive in this case? The proposed Mosque is to be built just a stone’s throw
from the where the World Trade Center towers once stood, the building itself was damaged in the attacks when an engine from
one of the planes crashed through the roof.
How would Muslims feel if the US built a military base in Mecca? The ‘Arab world’ is still pissed
off that the Saudi’s allow us to have military bases in the same COUNTRY as Mecca. It is not that we oppose the Mosque
in New York, we oppose a Mosque built to praise Islam on the very ground where thousands of Americans were murdered by terrorists
in the name of Islam.
Of
all the real estate in New York, why would this group choose this specific location? Coincidence? I think not. If they just
HAPPENED to choose that particular building, then they would have no problem building the Mosque elsewhere. Instead, they’ve
dug their heals in, despite the objections.
So while most Americans, especially the families of the 9/11 victims are insulted, at least the people at
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue are still on board. To the current administration, I’m sure the Mosque at ground zero is a
great honor. The White House is even going to send the Mosque’s Imam, Feisal Abdul Rauf, on a trip to the Middle East
to ‘foster greater understanding and outreach around the world among majority Muslim countries.’
Why is the President continually going to
the Muslim world with hat in hand? If we are to have a greater ‘understanding’ with the people of Islam, they
will first need to A: stop flying airplanes into our buildings and B: Stop building Mosques where those buildings once stood.

Chris Charles: Hypocritical
Oath
We all know that politicians are liars, cheats,
and thieves but you might expect Democrats, with their self-righteous attitudes, to be exceptions. Instead, the biggest liars,
cheats, and thieves in politics are almost exclusively Democrats.
Democrats consistently attack ‘the rich’ for not paying enough in taxes
but when it comes time for Democrats to pay their ‘fair share’ they are not so quick to pay up. They will conveniently
forget to report income as in the Charlie Rangel case or buy big ticket items in states with low taxes as John Kerry did with
his yacht. Sometimes they simply neglect to pay their taxes, as practiced by Tim Geithner prior to becoming Treasury Secretary.
I could go on and on with the names of Democrats with less than stellar IRS records.
It is the height of hypocrisy for Democrats to fail to pay the
high taxes that they impose on the rest of us. Democrats love taxes as long as they aren’t the ones paying them.How many times have we heard the Democratic
Party accused the GOP of advocating tax cuts for the rich, when they seemingly advocate tax EVASION for the rich? These champions
of class warfare are the very people they claim to be against. They vote to raise taxes on ‘rich’ people that
make $200,000, meantime multi-millionaire Democrats use every trick in the book to avoid paying their ‘fair share’.
Tax-dodging Democrats are all for wealth redistribution because it is not their wealth being redistributed.
If there is one thing the Dems hate more than
‘the rich’, it is greedy Wall Street banks and corrupt corporations. They claim the Republicans are in the pocket
of big business but Democrats have no problem accepting huge campaign donations from those same evil corporations. Nor do
they have any problems ‘returning the favor’ to the corporations that gave them money.
After the housing meltdown in 2008, Senate
Banking Committee Chairman Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) introduced a program to bail out the troubled lender Countrywide Financial.
It came to light later that Dodd had previously received ‘sweetheart’ loans from Countrywide. Dodd received below
market rate loans on two houses from Countrywide just a few years before he gave Countrywide billions of taxpayer dollars.
Maybe, just maybe, Countrywide would not have needed the bailout if they didn’t go around handing out sweetheart loans
to people like Chris Dodd.
Dodd also bailed out the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, guess which member of Congress received the most
campaign contributions from Fannie and Freddie.
Now yet another Democrat, Representative Maxine Waters of California is in hot waters (pun intended) over
help she gave a troubled bank. Waters helped Massachusetts based United One Bank get $12 million in bailout funds from the
federal government. The problem is the Congresswoman’s husband owns stock in that bank and even served on United One’s
board of directors. Can anyone say ‘conflict of interest’?
These people use the US treasury like their own personal checking account! Democrats
use tax payer money to repay corporations that donated to their campaigns and they don’t even have the decency to pay
their own taxes. Yet they expect the rest of us to fork over more and more so that they can spend it on themselves and their
friends. They have nothing at all to say about pay for play political practices of Fannie, Freddie, or Countrywide but just
mention the word ‘Halliburton’ and watch how fast liberals get all sanctimonious on you.
They want us to pay our fair share when they
do not, many times Democrats don’t even pay their LEGAL share in taxes but God forbid a conservative suggests lowering
taxes. Perhaps if taxes were lower we could get Democrats to actually pay them.
